Trial sites are getting a 6-month lifetime in release 7.11

Starting with release 7.11 (15 July 2026), every trial site on WebinOne will have a lifetime of 6 months from its creation date, regardless of activity. This completes the changes to how trial sites work that we announced earlier this year.

Why the change? Trial sites are meant for building and testing, but over time, thousands of them remain untouched, consuming storage and computing resources. This update isn't about limitations; it's about clear boundaries that keep the platform clean, fast, and reliable for every site that matters.

How the lifetime works

  • Every trial site is available for 6 months from the day it's created.
  • We'll email you 30 days before a site expires, so nothing disappears without warning.
  • When the lifetime ends, the site is removed. Its backup is kept for 30 days, and support can restore the site on request. The first restoration is free.
  • A restored site must be activated within 30 days; otherwise, it will be removed again. Restorations are handled manually by our team, so each additional restoration is subject to a $50 admin service fee.
  • Once the 30-day backup period ends, deletion is permanent.

Want to keep a site longer?

Live sites and templates have no lifetime limit, so there are three simple ways to keep any work you care about:

  • Activate a subscription: the site goes live, and the limit no longer applies.
  • Save it to My Templates (introduced in version 7.7, within your reseller’s tier template limit), perfect for base builds and reusable setups.
  • Download the site assets for safekeeping.

Already have older trial sites?

Trial sites that are already over the 6-month limit, or will reach it within the next 30 days (including sites moved back to trial after a subscription was cancelled), will remain available until 14 August 2026. If you still need any of them, save them as templates or activate a subscription before that date. Owners of affected sites will also receive a separate email.
